WILD ROSES

Who can resist the appeal of a fresh display of wild roses? These pink beauties, with their darker buds, bright sepals and centers and rich leaves and thorn branches, have a graceful vitality that is carefully held by the border.

DRAGONFLY GARDEN 

The idea for this design simply appeared one hot, summer afternoon as two of these lovely creatures flew in front of a mass of day lily leaves. They were only there for a moment but now you can have them to look at as long as you like in a wall hanging made from this pattern. Try it in blues and greens or take a look at the alternative version for a totally different effect.

THE DRAGONFLY

We love dragonflies and their sometimes brilliantly jeweled, sometimes almost transparent presence in our gardens. This is a design which offers many possibilities to use those fabrics that fire your imagination with their beauty.   Two additional colorways are shown.

To bring you this design, Three Swans poured over every Butterfly reference they could lay their hands on and it took a long time to develop this design, but they wanted to get it just right. It has truly been inspired by some of the most exotic and dazzling Butterflies found in the natural world. Let this design provide you with an opportunity to experiment with any and all of Nature’s glorious colors.

THE PHOENIX

The phoenix is a wonderful symbol of regeneration and renewal. It was said to be a “sun bird” of great beauty and power which lived within a cycle of being consumed by fire then resurrected or reborn from the ashes. The finished quilt shown here uses vibrant colors giving the impression of shimmering heat.

Who cannot be inspired to think in glorious color when they hear the words “Painted Ladies”?   This version of these beauties captures something of the upward dancing movement of butterflies in flight as well as provide a design that would look gorgeous done in just about any color combination that your imagination could come up with.

KNOTWORK

This quilt design was inspired by traditions of knotwork in general and by the very beautiful examples from Celtic culture in particular. The idea of a circle and an unbroken strand being old symbols for eternity has great appeal for us. We designed this knotwork pattern with those things in mind.
