The largest, most comprehensive consumer education and trade event for the sewing industry
in the United States--the Sewing and Stitchery Expo. Sponsored by Washington State University
in Pierce County, this annual event draws more than 32,000 people from as far away as Spain and Australia.

#3041 SASHIKO TABLE RUNNER SAMPLER

Thursday - 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Students will learn how to transfer and stitch traditional Sashiko motifs as they design their own 22” x 36” table runner. A trunk show of historical Sashiko garments to modern day quilts will be shown in class.

Make your own one-of-a-kind Shibori silk scarf using non-toxic instant set
dyes. Students will learn to create an interesting Shibori effect with tying,
fold, scrunching and wrapping techniques.

QUILTERS ANONYMOUS 31st ANNUAL QUILT SHOW -  ALIVE WITH COLOR

Evergreen State Fairgrounds - New Building - All under one roof!
Monroe, WA 

Friday, March 16 - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 17 - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Admission $7.00 good for all three days, free parking, discount offered to bus tour attendees.

More than 500 quilts and other items created by members will be on display, demonstrating hand and machine quilting, applique, traditional patchwork piecing, and embellishments with beads and buttons.
