From Kyoto, this thread is dyed with real indigo and is so dark it's almost black. This is a thinner weight thread. A little stiff from the indigo dyeing, it softens with use. There is a little bit of indigo that bleeds out when washed - perfectly normal for anything with true indigo dye - so be sure to pre-wash the thread and set the color if you use this thread on lighter colored fabrics.
