It’s a fast quilt, easier than it looks, and appropriate for beginners.  Use nautical themes, oriental prints, butterflies, cats, sports, or whatever favorite collection you'd light to highlight in the squares.  The pattern includes 3 sizes:  Lap size (42” x 54”), Square (42” x 42”), or Crib Size (30” x 42”)

Mini I Spy with a Twist - Alaska 
MINI I SPY WITH A TWIST

This pattern is the Mini version of the I Spy With a Twist. It’s shown with an assortment of Alaska wildlife fabrics, but is also very effective with assorted fussy cuts from one novelty fabric. Two sizes are given:  21” square, and 21” x 27”.


 


ALASKA TOSS

This pattern is an excellent showcase for wonderful focal fabrics.  The 3-dimensional curves are easily created by turning back the bias edges of a folded triangle.  This project is suitable for intermediate quilters.  Pattern includes instructions for Lap Quilt - 52" x 64"  and Wall Hanging 36".

   
PHOTO ALBUM - ALASKA

This pattern is an excellent showcase for wonderful focal fabrics. The table runner is shown with photographs of bears taken by Sitka’s wildlife biologist, Phil Mooney. The pattern includes a lap size (52” x 72”) and a table runner (16” x 52”). This pattern uses innovative piecing techniques, and is fully illustrated. It is suitable for quilters with basic skills (just beyond beginner).  Also shown using tropical prints.


STARS OF ALASKA

This pattern is a quick and easy way to feature those wonderful focal fabric, whether they be Alaska's Polar Bears, or any other fabric that you love. This pattern is appropriate for beginners who can make a 1/4" seam. It is fully illustrated and uses the no-waste method for the flying geese units. Two sizes are included: the Lap Size is 48” x 66” and the Queen Size is 84” x 92”.


DIAMONDS WITH A TWIST

This pattern features fabulous focal prints in a diamond setting.  The technique for making the blocks is innovative and easy, with each step fully illustrated.  Lap Size Quilt:  43" x 52"

 


BASS

What happens when a Bass takes a trip to Alaska?  That’s what I asked my husband, Dave, and this is the piece he designed – Bass with a distinct northwest coastal approach.  The table runner measures 20” x 40”.  A placemat design is included.  Both use fusible web techniques for the appliqué.

 


ORCA

This Orca design was created by Lisa Moore's husband and whale watching partner, Dave Moore. The table runner measures 20” x 48”. The Wall Hanging is 32” x 38”. Both use fusible web techniques for the appliqué.

 


TOTEM

Two wall hangings (19” x 40”) are included in the Totem pattern. The totem designs are drawn by Tommy Joseph, a talented wood carver. Tommy is an Artist in Residence at the Southeast Alaskan Indian Cultural Center at Sitka National Historical Park. Both use fusible web techniques for the appliqué.

 
RAVEN SALMON

Tommy Joseph, a Tlingit woodcarver, helped Lisa Moore to create this new quilt pattern, Raven Salmon. Tommy designed the image, composed of the left and right profiles of a salmon (female with eggs) with Raven in the center. The wall hanging is 30” x 38” and is suitable for intermediate quilters. The technique is fusible appliqué.

New!  Wolf
WOLF

Wolf design from Tlingit Wood Carver Tommy Joseph includes two sizes, a 27" x 42" Wall Hanging and a 23" Square pillow (uses an 18" pillow form). The pillow can also make a great small wall hanging. Lisa has been very clever with this pillow design, the flange border really makes it look like a quilt that happens to be a pillow.

WILD ALASKA SALMON

This table runner (19” x 51”) is constructed with fusible web techniques. The pattern includes a single salmon (19” x 31”) and Lisa's favorite Salmon Quiche recipe. The design is drawn by her husband, Dave Moore.

   

 

MORE TABLE RUNNERS


TABLE RUNNER WITH A TWIST

This pattern is an excellent showcase for wonderful focal fabrics and can be used as a table runner or wall hanging. The technique for setting the blocks is unique and so simple. The pattern instructions are fully illustrated and have been well tested.   The table runner measures 15 ½” x 48 ½”. RAINFOREST RINGS TABLE RUNNER

A celebration of the Tongass National Rainforest, this pattern which can be used for a wall hanging or table runner or is perfect for any type of focal fabric. The pattern gives instructions for using 4, 5 (pictured), or 6 rings. The sizes are 15” wide, by 40” (4 rings), 48” (5 rings), or 56” (6 rings). The interlocking rings are installed using easy appliqué, or fusible web. The instructions are illustrated, and have been well tested by Alaskan quilters.
