Here are answers to a few Frequently Asked Questions and some steps
to help you with the shopping cart process.

When can I expect delivery of my order?

We package and ship your order as quickly as possible, normally within one to three business days.  Shipping may be delayed if your order is placed over a holiday.  Please note - our mail order department is closed on the weekend.  If you send us an e-mail on Saturday or Sunday regarding your order, we normally will not be able to respond until Monday.

What will my shipping charges be?

Our shipping charges are based on the actual weight of the packaged order.  Orders under $10.00 have a $1.50 handling fee.   Orders over $100 and shipped within the Continental US, including Alaska and Hawaii.  by USPS mail will receive free shipping excluding insurance.  The customer will be billed for any insurance charges if insurance is requested. 

PLEASE NOTE:  We do not use UPS or Fed Ex for shipping.  If you wish your package shipped by either method, shipping charges will be added regardless of the size of the order.

International Orders of $100 or more receive a 10% discount.  The customer will be billed for any insurance charges if insurance is requested.

Many of our patterns are shipped free if you purchase 3 or more.  If the patterns you ordered qualify for free shipping, the shipping charges will be adjusted when we process your order.

If your order requires special packaging, i.e., bubble wrap, padded envelope, etc., there will be an extra $1.00 handling fee.


Can I expedite my order?

We can ship Fed Ex Next Day by special request if you notify us by 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.   There is an additional $5.00 charge to handle an expedited order.
 

What about back orders?

If an item is on back order for more than 30 days, we will contact you prior to shipping the order for your authorization.  If an item remains on backorder over 60 days, the order will be cancelled and you will be notified by e-mail. 


What if I receive a message that a "backorder is cancelled"?

In the unfortunate event that a backordered item will no longer be available, we will notify you by e-mail. Unfortunately, we are sometimes left with this as the only option due to the manufacturer’s decision to not re-print certain fabrics or produce certain items. 


Do you ship to Canada and Internationally?

We do ship to Canada and internationally to other countries except where prohibited.   We will ship your international order using Global Priority or Air Parcel Post depending on the most economical and expedient method to get your parcel to you.

When you click on the section in the shopping cart that says "No State or Province",  it will allow you to enter your international shipping address.  International orders  including Canada, APO & FPO addresses do incur a $2.50 handling fee to help defray the cost of the extra paperwork and processing.

International orders of $100 or more will receive a 10% discount.

Insurance:

Please indicate whether or not you wish your package insured.  If you do not request insurance, we cannot be responsible for any damaged or lost shipments.

If you need your order shipped ASAP, in time for a gift, class or other special occasion, please add that information in the comment section or send us a separate e-mail.  This will enable us to give your order priority attention.

If you are using any email or spam filtering, please add our email address shiboridragon@juno.com   to your address book and list of 'friends' or approved senders so that we can send you notification regarding your order.

Why did the price change from the shopping cart to what I was actually charged for an item?

Sometimes a distributor will change the price of an item and we are not aware of the price increase until we receive the packing invoice.  We reserve the right to adjust the price of an item at the time we process your order in the event there has been a price increase from the time the item was ordered to the time the item is shipped to you.

Can I get a refund if I don't like my purchase?

We do not accept exchanges, returns or give refunds on cut fabric or any other products unless the product is inadvertently sent to you with a manufacturer's flaw.

In some cases, depending on the circumstances, we may allow you to return the item for a store credit.  Shipping charges will not be credited.  Please call the shop for authorization prior to returning any item.

While we believe we carry the highest quality thread on the market today, all sewing machines and long-arm machines are different and handle thread differently.  If you are considering purchasing a large selection of thread, we suggest purchasing one or two spools first to give it a try on your particular machine.

Washington State Sales Tax:

Orders placed within the State of Washington will have the applicable sales tax added based on the location of the purchaser.  The State of Washington requires that we also charge sales tax on postage and handling fees.

Gifts:

If you are having your order shipped to someone other than yourself, please let us know in the comment section of the shopping cart if you would like to have a gift card enclosed and we'll be happy to do so.  If the "ship to" name is different from your own, we do not include the invoice in the package and will e-mail it to the person placing the order instead.

Your personal information and credit data is stored encrypted and password protected in the servers used by our shopping cart service.
