Chakoner Refill - $4.50

Dressmaker's Chakoner - From Japan.

This is the original chalk marker imported from Japan.  No more messy fingers, no more breakage, and no more sharpening.  The powered chalk is encapsulated in the small black, heart-shaped plastic case.  A serrated wheel located in its tip, allows a very vine line to be drawn.  Choose from white, blue, pink or yellow.  Refills available.

FINE COTTON BASTING THREAD - From Japan

This thread is ideal for making tailor tacks - unique because it will not slip out of the fabric.  Cut one end and wear it around your neck.  Conveniently pull a strand out as needed.  The thread breaks easily when it is ready to be pulled out.
This fine cotton basting thread is the top of the line for basting quilts, garments, and other projects.

Remove the basting threads by snipping the basting threads every three or four inches and remove them gently. Never pull out long basting threads.

Approx. 420m / 490 yards per skein.

Ivory - $ 3.25 skein
Pink, Yellow or Blue - $3.75 skein

FINE SILK BASTING THREAD - From Japan

When constructing silk, velvet and woolen garments it is sometimes necessary to press the garment before removing the basting thread.
To avoid the marks of the basting threads showing after the pressing,  use silk thread for basting instead of the usual cotton thread. The silk thread will not leave any marks.

Remove the basting threads by snipping the basting threads every three or four inches and remove them gently. Never pull out long basting threads.

80 meter card.
