WHAT NEEDLE DO I USE?

Schmetz Sharp 60/8  (very thin/ fine fabric)

 

Sharp point for perfectly straight stitches. For use in topstitching or edge stitching applications on silk and microfiber fabrics.
 

Schmetz Sharp 70/10 (thinnest fabric)
 

Sharp point for perfectly straight stitches.  Use for regular sewing and topstitching or edge stitching applications on silk and microfiber fabrics.
 

Schmetz Sharp 80/12 (medium weight fabric) or

Schmetz Sharp 90/14 (thicker fabric) or

Schmetz 90/16 (heaviest fabric)

Schmetz Jeans/Denim 70/10 (thinner weight) or

Schmetz Jeans/Denim 80/12 (medium weight) or

Schmetz Jeans/Denim 100/16 (very heavy) or

Schmetz Jeans/Denim 110/18 (heaviest)
 

For jeans and similar densely woven materials.

 


 

 

Schmetz Topstitch 80/12 (thinner fabric) or

Schmetz Topstitch 90/14 (medium weight fabric) or

Schmetz Topstitch 100/16 (heavier weight fabric)
 

Extra sharp with an extra large eye and a large groove to accommodate topstitch thread. Use where larger eye size is beneficial.

 

Schmetz Quilting 75/11 (thinner fabric) or

Schmetz Quilting 90/14 (medium weight fabric)
 

Special taper to point prevents damage to the sensitive, expensive materials used in quilting.

 

Schmetz Embroidery 75/11 (thinner fabric) or Schmetz Embroidery 90/14 (medium weight fabric)
 

For use with polyester, rayon and specialty machine embroidery thread.
 

Schmetz Metallica 14/90 (5-pk)


 

Provides trouble-free sewing with metallic threads. It has a large eye to make threading easier.   It also has a large groove to prevent shredding of the delicate metallic threads during stitch formation.
