 HOT SHOT - $9.50

The Hot Shot pattern creates a fascinating illusion of small squares floating upon larger squares. With so many quilters collecting Fat Quarters in a color family or theme you may already have all the fabrics you need for your version of Hot shot.

Small squares become hot shots when they seem to float on top of the blocks.  Hot Shot is fun and achievable for most quilters. The 12” blocks can be made from Fat Quarters or Fat Eighths.  Consider a Fat Eighth Exchange by teaming up with friends and cutting your Fat Quarters in half for some serious swapping.

Create a more eclectic look by breaking apart the squares and stitching the segments together randomly. This is a fun look for the popular big prints.

Hot Shot is a graphic and contemporary look for your next project and perfect for the wall or bed.  4 sizes of quilts: wall 44"x 44", lap 47"x 59", twin 63"x 87" and queen 87"x 99".

JAM ART - $9.50

If you have become a fan of the popular 2 ½” strips you will love working on Jam Art.  The multi colored project used 2 strip rolls of 20 strips each (one roll light to medium and one roll medium to dark) in multiple colors. The turquoise project used a strip roll of 40 strips in all shades and values of turquoise. There are two different inserts: one is foundation pieced and the other is tiny little curves. The unique border is wider at the top and narrows at the bottom.  If you have been looking for something contemporary and kind of WOW, this might be the pattern for you.

BENT PIECES - $9.50

Raid your collection of fat quarters and try this fun technique. The 12” block remains the same, the fabric and curve will change. A tutorial is included that teaches the technique for cutting and machine stitching the curves. No templates, this is inventive curved cutting that you will quickly master! The fat quarters you choose need to be at least 21" useable. In these projects, everything is used.

Table Runner: 18" x 54", Lap Quilt: 47 1/2" x 71 1/2". Fabric tips included. These projects were originally published in Cutting Curves from Straight Pieces by Debbie Bowles, which is out of print.
