 SILK SALT 2 oz. - $ 2.25 Sprinkle puffed crystal salt on wet dyed fabric to create exciting effects. The salt absorbs the dye as it dries leaving a textured, halo look. Works best with medium to dark colored dyes.

 DISCHARGE PASTE 8 oz. - $7.95 Discharge paste removes most fiber reactive colors, direct dyes and acid dyes from fabric. As easy as 1-2-3! Apply with a brush, let dry, iron with steam and wash out.

Made from natural Gutta Percha to produce the finest resist available. Resist is used to draw the edge of an image on silk, stopping the flow of dye at the resist lines. With heavier silks, the resists may have to be thinned so it completely penetrates the fabric. The resist should be completely dry before applying dye. Colored guttas should not be dry-cleaned.  GUTTA RESIST SOLVENT 4 oz. - $3.50 Gutta Resist can be thinned with Gutta Solvent for use on heavier silks where it is important that the resist penetrate the entire fabric. |

 SODIUM HYDROSULFITE 1 pound - $9.95 Sodium Hydrosulfite is a reducing agent in a Pre-reduced Indigo vat.

 PRE-REDUCED INDIGO 3/4 oz. - $6.95 8 oz. - $26.95 Natural indigo takes a considerable amount of effort to get it into a working dye bath. Since it is not soluble in water, you need to reduce it chemically with Sodium Hydrosulfite and lye. It is very involved and can be time consuming. As an alternative, Jacquard has developed a Pre-Reduced Indigo. You still need to add Sodium Hydrosulfite, but the lye is replaced by Soda Ash. It only takes about 10 minutes to prepare the dye bath and you get the same unique results as with the regular indigo.

 UREA 1 pound - $3.95
Urea is a humectant. A humectant
attracts moisture from the air, keeping the fiber damp longer
allowing a greater reaction time for the dye. Urea is used with
sodium alginate thickener when printing, painting or directly
applying Procion dye to fiber or is added to Procion dye for
super intense color.

SODA ASH 1 pound - $ 3.95 Also known as sodium carbonate or washing soda, Soda Ash is a mild alkali
that promotes the chemical reaction between Procion MX fiber reactive dye
and cellulose fiber. Soda Ash is necessary to activate and "set" Procion
dye.

 SYNTHRAPOL 6 oz. - $7.95 A mild soap specifically made for removing excess dye so that dried articles may be washed with other laundry. When dyeing not all of the dye will react with the fiber being dyed. Excess dye, therefore, must be removed to prevent back-staining.

 NO FLOW DYE INHIBITOR 8 oz. bottle - $6.00 No Flow is a starch-like fluid that inhibits the dye from flowing. It is especially useful when making fine lines with a brush or pen. Apply to the entire piece or a specific area. It dries clear and rinses out with warm water. |

WATER BASED RESIST Colorless - 2.25 oz. - $4.75
Jacquard has developed a superior
water based Resists. It washes out easily with warm water, even
after steaming. It holds a crisp line without spreading and does
not shrink or pucker when dry. It can be colored with any water
based dye and is odorless, screenable, alcohol free and
non-toxic.
